HydroGNSS Satellite Mission
HydroGNSS (Hydrological Global Navigation Satellite System) is a Scout concept mission selected by ESA to collect data on the hydrological climate variables of soil moisture content, wetland inundation, soil freeze and thaw states, and above ground forest biomass, through a technique known as Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry.
With funding from ESA's Scout programme, Surrey Satellite Technology is building HydroGNSS, a 55kg small satellite to measure climate change variables.
I created the below diagram (used in research papers, presentations, press releases) and designed the workshop header.
An animation based on my diagram (18 seconds in) was created by an external animation agency.
